After 6 long years at our previous venue in Melincryddan Community Centre, the landlords Neath Town Council decided to give our long standing booking of a Wednesday morning slot to a private childcare provider. To say we are disgusted at their treatment of us is an understatement.
We offered to continue paying for the Wednesday slot all throughout lockdown as we didn’t want to lose this slot. We were told on more than one occasion we didn’t have to pay when we weren’t there. Only to be thrown out in December 2020. They didn’t even consult with us before Neath Town Council councillors and Mayor decided to do this to us and our amazing 80 regular attending members.

We now have the great pleasure in letting everyone know that we now have a bigger and better venue. Briton Ferry Town Council Community Hall in Shelone Road, Briton Ferry, has a lovely warm and welcoming reception which leads into a fantastic hall with a stage and a fully equiped kitchen for the all important cuppa. It has approx 15 disabled parking spots and an overflow carpark.
Over the next few weeks, we will be altering our online presence to Briton Ferry Community Hall. This can take a while for google and other search engines to recognise the changes. Please feel free to phone us with any queries during the transition period.
We will continue to keep in touch with newsletters during the time we are unable to meet. We will let you know as soon as there are any developments with getting back to regular meetings. Our next review will be in April.
