This years Step Out for Stroke was an absolutely incredible day from start to finish. We had ‘Drumabeat’ a fantastic Samba Band drum us the whole way and back. We were joined by Captain Beany, MP Stephen Kinnock, the deputy Mayor of Neath Port Talbot, the deputy Mayor of Swansea. With 137 registrants and so many, many, more supporting us.
It was a beautiful sunny day with a very brisk breeze. The highlight of the day was everyone finishing the walk regardless of their abilities. Our hearts soared when one of our members Graham took a few steps at the starting line and again to cross the finish line. That is what Step Out for Stroke is all about.
This year we were the earliest Step Out event in the UK Saturday 4th May and are so proud we had the most online registrants.
Lots and lots of proud moments for us.
