Maureen Morgan ran the 2019 London marathon and raised an incredible £899 for us at Neath Port Talbot Stroke Group. Here is her truly inspirational and touching story in her own words.
Hi my name is Maureen and on the 28th of April at the age of 69 I run my first London marathon. I am a Stroke survivor I have had TIA’s but I am not going to let them get me and that is why I run to keep myself fit. I know how bad a Stroke can be my father had a very bad one at the age of 59/60 he lost his speech and never walked again. He survived for 11 years and always had a smile for very one. My husband lost a brother to stroke. So it meant a great deal to me to help your group for all the help and fantastic support you give. And a big thank you for the card and flowers xx
Thank you Maureen we can’t thank you enough from everyone at Neath Port Talbot Stroke Group.
