21st May couldn’t have been a more incredible day for NPTSG. We had perfect weather and the sea was like a millpond. 39 friends were looked after by ‘Dolphin Spotting Boat Trips’ in New Quay on ‘Ermol 5’ for a 2 hour boat ride. We saw so many sea birds, barrel jelly fish, a cheeky Simon Seagul that joined us and…DOLPHINS!!!
After our successful boat trip we slowly made our way to the ‘Mariners Restaurant’ for lunch and what a lunch it was. Many of us then enjoyed the scenery, ice cream, shops and a pub. I believe Tequila was the tipple of the day for many members of Neath Port Talbot Stroke Group.
The terrain was challenging getting to the boat but it was worth pushing ourselves that little extra bit. We cannot recommend Dolphin Spotting Boat Trips and The Mariners Restaurant enough. You have to do it and be ‘Pirates of the Ceredigion’ like us.
