The trustees met via Zoom to discuss the possibility of meeting indoors as lockdown lifts. It was decided not to meet as we have so many members and we couldn’t possibly choose just 30 members to meet. During July and August many of our trustees are taking much needed holidays, so it was agreed that we will recommence indoor meetings in September 2021. This will be reviewed and inline with government guidelines closer to the date and we will announce it to all our members via letters and phone calls.
In the interim we will be organising meet ups outside at Gnoll Park and Aberavon Beach.
January 2021
The trustees of NPTSG again met in January 2021 and discussed the ongoing lockdown restrictions in Wales and the UK. We will continue to remain closed in line with the goverment restrictions.
September 2020
Neath Port Talbots Stroke Group’s trustees met in mid september and we spoke at length of the challenges we faced during our hardest ever year 2020. From the cancellation of weekly group meetings, to arranging regular wellbeing deliveries to all our current members, the increase of newsletters and the amazing twice daily Zoom online video conference calls. We adapted and provided support in many different forms.
With the onset of flu season and the increase of Covid cases nationally, we have had to revise our weekly meetings in the future. It was decided to cancel all upcoming weekly meetings and events until the 2nd week of January 2021 where it will again be reviewed.
